A Pair of Detentions Following London Heathrow Irritant Spray Incident

The assault caused the temporary shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the T3 parking area.

Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
